Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence (EI) refers to an individual's capacity to understand, use, and manage their own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict. It also involves their ability to recognize, understand and respond to the emotions of others. EI is associated with greater mental health, job performance, and leadership skills.
