En homolog grupp cykliska glukaner, bestående av alfa-1,4-bundna glukosenheter, som uppstår till följd av verkan av cyklodextringlukanotransferas på stärkelse eller liknande ämnen. Enzymet produceras av vissa Bacillusarter. Cyklodextriner bildar inklusionskomplex med ett stort antal substanser.
