Cannabis Tar Causing Restricted/Shallow Breathing

I was a heavy smoker of Cannabis/Marijuana. scince I quit I have had chest pains, shallow breathing and the smell of tar in my airwaves, I have trouble breathing deep. is there any way or method/cure to clear the tar from my lungs and airwaves, I have tried steaming, natural herbal remedies, drinking lots of water, exercise. has anyone else got similar symptoms from Smoking Cannabis?
