How long after taking lamisil will I notice the Tinea Versicolor will stop spreading?

How long after you start using lamisil will you start noticing that the tinea versicolor stops spreading?  I have been taking it for 3 days now and it seems to be spreading on my neck, but by face looks about the same as it did 3 days ago.  I'm also using Selson shampoo to try to speed up the process.  Any other suggestions?  I haven't gone to a dermatologist yet, my Doctor said it was either tinea versicolor or just my tan fading.  I've never had my tan fade like this, so am leaning towards tinea versicolor.  There is a 6 month wait list to get into a dermatologist, and this can't spread anymore!  PLEASE HELP!
